Howdy,

How are rovers powering these amps for portable use? The input voltage
requirements are quite stiff and current relatively high. For instance, my 20
watt model wants 12.6 volts at ~10 amps.

The only solution I've come up with so far is to use DC/DC switching. I've
found a supply that will accept 18-36 volts in (I carry 24 volts for another
amp) and supply 12 volts +/- 10% @ 12.5 amps with remote sensing.

I'm looking for a solution for total portability. I can't rely on 110 vac
being at any of my sites, nor can I assume I can run a generator. Most of my
Roving is while flying down the highway @ 70 mph. I do run a small inverter
(~125 watts) for small lights and a rotor. I've tried several larger
inverters and found all to be noisey on at least one of the bands I operate.
