Hi Jim,
How are the upper bands decoded on the 100D? I have a project that can
benefit from having that data output from the radio. Is that info on
repluging a cable in the manual? I haven't found it yet if it is.
I found a circuit board at Dayton ($18.00!) that will decode the lower band
data & drive relays to switch antennas. I have contacted the supplier to
see if they can adapt the board to work on the upper bands as well. I have
plans for a circuit board & relays that will work well on the VHF+ bands
for switching antennas. I could include hard keying in the proposed box
while I'm at it. Hopefully, the end product will decode all band data for
the rig, switch appropriate relays & provide a hard key line for HF +
separate hard keying for each VHF+ band. It all hinges on being able to
decode the data out of the rig.
Yaesu ALMOST got it right with this rig...if only it were PC programmable
instead of just controllable.
