[Rover] Dual battery/Deep Cylce clarification

What I am looking at doing is hooking up the deep cycle battery as the #2
battery on a dual battery system so as it is being cherged automatically as
needed by the vehicles charging system so the battery will only be OFF
charge when the car is shut off say sitting at a site for a couple hours at
the most then being charged again while moving/roving.  Also was going to
leave the battery system connected all of the time to keep the battery in
good charge & shape.

My roving setup is actually going to be my main radio setup for daily use on
6 & 2 as I live in a deep valley so hilltopping/mobile is really my only
option for radio play outside of local ragchew. Plus my daughters
dance/majorette,band activities keep me running around alot of a evening so
not home to much to play around either.

Mian worry was about any damage to either of the batteries being hooked up
this way since they were of different types, or of the deep cycle battery
being damaged by the vehicles type of charging system?
