[Rover] Police interest clarification

The reason the cops stopped me wasn't because of curiousity in ham radio,
they were questioning the safety & security of the antenna mounting. IE...
is that thing going to fall off???

After showing them is was on tight they said OK and let me go.

But I have been stopped multiple time over the last year, even before
9/11/01. Like the weekend before 9/11 was the ARRL Sept. VHF contest and I
was stopped for the above named reasons.

I have no problem with them doing their duty and happy they are out there as
I used to be one of them.

Would just like to not attract their attention if not needed. ie...low
profile

Plus this would only be the antenna used when mobile, got a 3element beam
for when sitting still.
