Some of you have asked about my setup.

Vehicle is a 1987 Subaru Stationwagon.

Have looked into the hitch mounting idea, however there is no hitch reveiver
available for this car as it wasn't designed to be used for towing. However,
I am looking at modifing a step-bumper receiver to bolt to the solid steel
bumper for this type of mounting so as to use the KB6KQ/PAR loops.

Was also looking into the 4-pad magnetic mounts for the M2 type loops.

Power system is going to be a deep-cycle battery setup with a isolator so as
to be charged by the vehicles power system if money permits.

Primary bands of operation will be 6 & 2 SSB, along with 440FM till I get a
432 setup running.

But going to focus on 6 & 2 for now as I want to get the "bread & butter"
basics covered first with good antennas and 150watts of power first.

Thank every one of you for all the advice I am getting as my blow money is
as scarce as frog hair so every dollar has to be spent wisely!!!
