Or a replacement equivalent mic? I'm looking for two of them.Or does anyone have any for sale, I don't care if the cord is shot, they can be replaced. I've looked quite a bit on line but to no avail.? Thanks very much! 73 Tom wa9wsj From kd7jyk at earthlink.net Sun Feb 21 00:22:18 2021 From: kd7jyk at earthlink.net (KD7JYK DM09) Date: Sat, 20 Feb 2021 21:22:18 -0800 Subject: [RadioShack] HTX-252 mic In-Reply-To: <2117072988.522293.1613861520786@mail.yahoo.com> References: <2117072988.522293.1613861520786.ref@mail.yahoo.com> <2117072988.522293.1613861520786@mail.yahoo.com> Message-ID: <0e9121a0-a2c2-e1b4-96a1-6292ac71b9dc@earthlink.net> An JTX-252 mic cord replacement service on ebay, you may ask the seller if he has any mics laying around, also, there's a Motorola with an HTX-252 plug. Do you have a part number for the mic? HTX-252 is the radio, but the mic may have a different number, may have applied to other radios, and there may be something out there by mic part number, rather than a specific radio. The only number I can come up with for the mic is from the service manual, JMHTX252X. I have not been able to find out any helpful info on this.I did contact one of the gents that has allot of info about replacing the cable but he wasn't able to help me.? His site shows the mic in very good detail but there is no part number on its back, like other radio shack mics.? As you suggest, there might be other mics that could work from other radios, I was hoping to learn what mic this might be by posting my message here. Pretty sure that's the same site I just came across. TONS of info, but nothing on the mic beyond the cable. It seems the Allbrecht AE540, and HTX-252 parallel each other. Allbrecht also parallels Uniden scanners, but no info on the Allbrecht AE540, either. I did find some mics that were very similar, but slightly different buttons, 19-1125, and 19-1126, in case the heads could be swapped, no joy. No luck with the service manual part number, either, and I tried breaking up the number, JM-HTX252-X, and other ways. You might ask this guy if he's seen an actual part number for the mic (probably 19-xxxx, if anything): https://www.ebay.com/itm/HTX-212-HTX-242-HTX-252-Microphone-Cord-Replacement-Service/293183738376 Does this parts list do anything for you?: http://www.repeater-builder.com/radio-shack/htx-252/htx-252-parts-list.htm Kurt
