"Long Time Integration"  For example, think of average CW at 10 WPM.  Now,
stretch your callsign out to one to three hours.  That's LTI.  There are
other digital modes such as Wold and FSK.  The 2m EME experiment with 5W
used a series of tones I think, similar to Boudot, but, as I mentioned it
took something like a week to get one 5 letter word out.  It was detecatble,
however.
