[RACES-Membership] February Drill - Operators needed

Well we are in full swing on the year 2010, lots of things happening and
schedules are already filling up.  My sincere thanks to each of you who
faithfully went to your assigned hospital each month for our Drills during
2009.  We did our first drill in Jan and there seemed to be a little
confusion as to whether we were going to have one or not.  We made it
through with only a few hospitals that did not report in, overall it was a
good response.

 

We are in need of at least 2 more operators at UPH at Kino.  A note for
those at UPH Kino, the radio has been moved from the telephone closet on the
main floor to the 2nd floor and the IC Center, and the radio etc, is in the
right overhead cabinet in the IC Center (aka very small conference room).
So, please, if you haven't been assigned to a hospital or you haven't
volunteered for this specific duty, I urge you to reconsider.  As you know
we have very "emergency call-outs", which is a good thing, however, we need
to continue to hone our skills and get acquainted with the hospitals and
their staff when doing our monthly drills.

 

As I mentioned in an earlier email, I will be moving everyone over to a
yahoo reflector.  You will not need to obtain a yahoo email address unless
you want to.  This way I can program reminders that will automatically
remind you of an event.  I only had one "concerned" response when I sent
this change in reflector status, so with that I will begin to make the move
gradually.  I will continue to use the mailman reflector until I have fully
updated the yahoo reflector.

on February 20th immediately following the weekly 2 Meter RACES net at 13:00
hrs.
