Just wanted to let each of you are on the hospital call out that you can
reach me two ways, either by cell phone 975.2724 or on the 146.880 repeater
from 7am till 8pm M-Sat, Sun after 12 noon.. Reason for not using the
147.300 repeater is my location, my signal going into the 147.300 repeater,
is scratchy at best. I can always talk on the 146.880 repeater with an HT
from my house.
Also we need additional volunteers to help with the following hospitals.
Northwest Tucson, at Orange Grove/ La Cholla - Randy Malick - KF0X, Jim
Christian KE7VJW are the only two.
Northwest Oro Valley on Tangerine - Marvin Stafford KB7GNX needs team
members, he is it for now, he will need relief for future exercises.
The goal is to have at least three people minimum and I hope to have at
least 4-6 per hospital by fall 2009.
Please email me if you would like to volunteer for one of the hospitals
above.
I do know that the PC RACES application asks specifically what your
preferences are for each area, and also what priority you wanted to rank
each area. As Hospital Coordinator, I am asking you to give consideration
to be available to also volunteer at a hospital even though you may not have
put that down as one of your preferences. I also know that there is a large
concentration of members closer to St. Joseph, TMC, UMC. Just because you
are not near to a particular hospital does not mean that you can't volunteer
for another one. I am at least 20 minutes from any hospital.
I just think it would be a good idea for us all to help each other,
especially since the hospital call out will help keep our skills honed and
help the community on a regular basis.
