Hello Tom, yes I have been there and done that. This amplifier isn't a new
modern piece of equipment. It has to be around 20 year old at least. My
guess was that Racal or who every they are at the moment, just wouldn't be
interested in helping a non-profitable individual enquiry about such
equipment and the lack of replies has supported this assumption.

I've tried a few sources of Racal information in the industry and had
absolutely no success, from Sorry it's too old, to just no reply at all.

Thanks,
Keith.

Hi,
Does anyone have any information on the Racal TA-4044 100 watt HF RF
amplifier?

I have such an amplifier and have no information about it what so ever.
I would like to be able to se it up to use with my Racal PRM-4031 when at
home, but not too sure about all the BNC connections.

The amp may have a fault on it because when I drive it with the 4031 on low
power it runs 100 watts, most of the time. Intermittently it will drop to
low power and switching between high/low power or switching it on/off will
result in it going back to high power again.

Any technical info, circuits, parts list, fault finding ..... etc.... you
get the just of it, I'm looking for anything that may help me get the amp
working 100% and find out what all the BNC connectors are for on the back of
the amp.

TIA,
Keith Watt RN (Rtd.) MRCN.
