[Racal] Handbook of Racal receivers or equipment

Dear friends, 

Finally found an  RA1772 and am now wondering: 1) is there any kind of
handbook enabling one for instance to decipher the   X/S3/R/B3/O/C  suffix ,  
(I know it is not uncommon, probably from a large batch to RAF)        2)
Can cabinets be found? I do have a Racal cabinet, which is too big however.
It is the kind where the top can open up, and quite heavy. Perhaps a swap?
  3) Is it any longer possible to find a 6khz am-filter for this rx? The 8
khz is a bit wide.
