My 6790/GM used to have an intermittent problem with the frequency
display. In my case, the readout was totally unusable. The problem
usually went away after the receiver warmed up for 15 minutes, but I
could bring it back by lightly pressing on the LCD. I fixed it by
resoldering connections on back of the display board.
