[Racal] RA1772 Question - Companion Tx?

Duncan,
The MA1720 driver has similar knobs and handles and I understand from
someone who worked on the development of the 1772 that there are some
circuit similarities.
I have the driver connected to a TA 1816 amplifier and I am on the lookout
for a 1772 but the prices seem to be going up a bit faster than I can save.
I too would be interested in any info that may come your way that is not
sent to the list.
