[Racal] Racal RA-6775-14 receiver

Hello,

I recently bought a Racal RA6775-14 remote controlled receiver that =
proved to be faulty.
When switched on, the fault lamp lights and with the meter switch in the =
20Volt position the meter shows the 20 volt being 3 volt.  =20
luckily this receiver is a dream to trouble shoot and one by one I =
disconnected the  modules and apparently the BFO module is clamping the =
20Volt, I reckon by an internal short.=20
I haven't had time to investigate further so far but I would like to =
know if someone has knowledge of typical faults in this kind of =
receivers
I don't have the remote control unit but got a software program to =
control the receiver over a serial line with the set, any experience =
with that?.

Can someone tell me if the receiver quality of RA6775-14 is any good? =
Also the extension -14 must mean something I recon.
