CAPACITOR KITS
Capacitors or Condensers are, virtually, always the main source of problems
with older radios, amplifiers, televisions & electronic equipment. Apart
from total failure almost older paper/wax condensers have become, with the
passing of time, "resistors" as well - thus - no longer isolate DC voltages
but pass on the potential creating a multitude of ailments - distortion,
overloading, reducing RF & AF performance, often create potentially
dangerous situations, wreck output valves & rectifiers, burn out resistors,
chokes & speaker fields, etc., etc. Just changing these capacitors on any
piece of equipment from the 1 930's, 1 940's & most of the 1 950's will be
"The Repair". You can choose from our Capacitor Stock List - or do it the
easy way - order a "CAPACITOR KIT"- we do all the hard work for you
selecting the correct values & voltages - marking insertion points on the
circuit. You just can't go wrong with our Capacitor Kits - we only charge
for the value of the components!
Typical costs vary from 10 to 25 plus P & P - we can either provide an
exact quote - or speed up supply by using a credit card made to the correct
value.
