[Racal] help ID an RA17 version

Thanks to all who responded to my post. I had no idea there were 
quite so many variants of RA17 out there! I knew of only 5 or 6, hi. 
That's why email reflectors like this one are such a great asset. 
I've now downloaded the RA17L manual from BAMA as Dan suggested. It 
is an excellent, detailed reference. Rob's tips suggest my model is 
from the RA17C family, so that is also of help. Keith's Racal website 
contains a wealth of information. I'm sure that little by little, 
with your help, this RA17 can be brought back into service. I will 
post any interesting findings to the list.
