[Racal] Ra1792 BITE

Hi,

I'm the proud new owner of an RA1792 and I'm very happy with it
but a bit confused over the BITE function/option.
There is nothing in the 'Operator's Manual' about BITE and the
set doesn't appear to go thru a selftest on startup.
Is there a way to manually run a test or is the testing transparent to
the user until a problem appears?
Or maybe this set doesn't have BITE  at all.

Serial is RAC 12093 on the front tab - probably a Ministry #
On the rear Option GA/52/0/0/0/A Serial 11281.

The only negative is just one phone socket, which knocks off
the speaker when in use......

Finally, does anyone know of a source for the SCORE option?
