My old friend Paolo Viappiani passed away recently. Paolo was a prolific author of many articles, mainly regarding the R-390 series in Electric Radio Magazine.

In 1996 he self-published the R-390/URR - R-390A/URR Handbook that was printed in Italian. He also published an Italian stereo magazine.

We have corresponded since the 1980's and in recent years about the Fowler Industry R-390A's.
