Hi All,
I have an R-390 with a microdial on the BFO adjustment knob. I would like
to remove the IF deck from the top of the receiver, which requires removal
of the bandwidth and BFO couplers. The bandwidth shaft easily decouples by
loosening the set screw around the “collar” the fits over the shaft. Under
normal circumstances the same would be true for the BFO adjustment as well,
however the addtion of the microdial seems to include another device (the
turn stops?) that prevent me from removing the coupling collar easily.
How can I go about safely removing this? I have in included some photos.
Thank you!
-Alex
