[R-390] Communication Systems Corp Radio Sighted in the Wild

I received an email from a chap asking me if his Communication Systems Corp radio was legit.  I don't have any reason to believe it's not.
I know they made spare modules but this is the first front panel nameplate I've seen.To summarize what's in the pic.COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS CORP.ORDER NO. 36-039-C-5-03887(E)SERIAL NO.  109

I don't know the history of this company.  Wally Chambers did a lot of research on this stuff but he is SK.
Does anyone have info on this company?
