Thanks Fellows-    Just finished looking at all of the great responses. I will check the resistors mentioned against their color bands. And thank you for the nice info on the PIO capacitors.      To be truthfull this R-390 IF deck was initially checked out in my R-391 and then I carefully did the filament string modifications and installed in a late model EAC mainframe. I am having fun listening to AM with it. I went a bit further and modified the R-390A AF deck to using a 6005W/6AQ5A with a Triad S-5X output transformer per the article in March 2004 ER mag. The mod involved no drilling, is reversible and easy to implement. I will say that the Triad transformer, and modified output stage circuitry, gives beautiful AM fidelity. Kudus to the author of this article. Also this particular output transformer just barely fit under the wiring harness clamp on chassis inner wall. I am not a big fan of modifications but I have enjoyed using this R-390A and hope to get it working 100% to satisfaction.    Thanks to everyone again,Byron W5FH
