[R-390] Conversion Of R-390 IF Module

What characteristics of the R-390 IF module improve the AM quality compared to the R-390A?

 Hello All-   Took the plunge after careful study of conversion info and converterd an R-390 IF module to work in an R-390A. Appears to be working well. I cut some long #8 screws to replace the #10 greenhead holdown screws and have the module cinched down in place. So I am finally getting to hear the smooth R-390 AM from late madel R-390A.
