Adam, my R-390 developped that same problem after years of use. I read about and performed on it the followinf. Once you can remove the micro switch from the switch assembly (as I recall there are washer/shims that are critical) you shoild be able to use something lije an exacto blade to open tge switch and clean any debris out of the switch & clean as needed the contacts A replacement switch is almost as rare as the twinex connector but I snagged one from Fair Radio Sales (they sold out quickly).GL & 73 Al WB8FEQ

No smoke, andit picks up stations - not quite as good as my R390A, but thats to beexpected since its been asleep for 20 years.Power switch doesn't turn off, I'll need to find one. Local Audio isextremely quiet unless the BFO is turned on, then it's too loud (turned allthe way down and it's still booming). Line meter also doesn't functionunless the BFO is turned on. With my Kiwa MAP hooked to IF out, it soundsdecent.Where should I start :DAdam K2AAM______________________________________________________________R-390 mailing listHome: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/r-390Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htmPost: mailto:R-390 at mailman.qth.netThis list hosted by: http://www.qsl.netPlease help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
