Hi, Adam,
If you can remove the power switch, you can revive it by taking it apart and retrieving the two contacts. You may note the contacts are pitted and tend to hitch onto one another, causing them to hang. Simply smooth them with a fine toothed file and all will be well with the switch after assembly and reinstallation.
