I just repaired a few in my KWS-1. If you can get an inexpensive ultrasound cleaner and some mild dishwater liquid detergent. They do come apart after a few minutes and get really clean, even the silver plated contact surface

Here's what mine look like. I thought the rubber insulator should lift off the phenolic plate but it doesn't want to come all the way off. Perhaps it's just stuck tighter than I've tried to pull it.
Now that I take a closer look, that is an Erie trademark.
When I adjusted the trimmers last night, some of them were a bit stuck but moved okay after a little "snap". Apparently this one may have disintegrated when it snapped. I suppose I could have taken them all apart and soaked them in IPA to avoid this but I just didn't think of it.
Thanks,
