Barry, wasn't supposed to be a second hole in the 8-16 MC cam thru which the
index mark for the 16-32 MC one can be seen ?
The 8-16 MC cam should be aligned first !
As far as I remember, there is no clamp that can be loosen on the 8-16 MC
cam shaft to adjust the cam position.
It should be aligned by rotation of the KC knob, then the proper 000 KC
reading of the counter can be adjusted and then all the other cam positions
in the order specified in the chapter 73 of the TM11-5820-357-35.
Be sure to apply the procedure of the chapter 73 (page 88) from the very
beginning !

In the R-390, I notice that for the 16-32 MC CAM, when the others are in
alignment and the lines can be seen through the holes for those, the line
for this cam is hidden by the 8-16 MC CAM underneath it. I don't see how
that could be visible and presume it's normal but wondering how one is
supposed to align the 16-32 MC CAM properly.
Thanks,
Barry - N4BUQ
