If I correctly understand, you say that a product detector is not a synchronous detector. But, according to you, the reasoning about the S/N is correct also for a product detector?
Forgive me; my exams about the matter are fifty years far in time…I try to use Deoxit also on my brain’s gears, but with limited results... 😁
