[R-390] R390/390A VU meters, NOS

For all,

I have in excavating the meter pile retrieved a pair of Simpson VU meters
that are unused-the solder lugs are pristine and still flat against the
meter back, which is of course sealed.

The sealant on meter glass is a bit sticking out, but, the meters appear
quite serviceable.  The dials from inspection under magnification appear to
be the old style phosphorescent that relied on a bit of radium to make it
glow.  Of course the material is long since burned out and there is no glow

Meters are Simpson Electric Co. Chicago, ILL, marked 182R on le ft side with
a part number of 3-500875 on right side of meter face.  Govt inspection
mark, reddish-orange eagle in circle is quite visible on top of meter case.

 

Please advise interest.

Meters are not needed as my R390 is a very early release and has correct
meters.  It is about to be declared surplus to needs, as the 51S1 receivers
seem to do all that is required.
