[R-390] The R-390A IF transformers internal resistors.

Thanks for your input.

What you describe matches the IF transformers internal resistors values in my Capehart IF module.

Most probably the Stewart-Warner ones used the same.

What surprises me is that those values (which are different in the Collins and Motorola made IFs) were never been documented anywhere…

Hello Jacques, I have found three IF transformers in a box of parts Chuck Rippel sent me years ago after he bought the inventory of EAC Corp when they shut down. Anyway, I have two IF transformers with no covers so I can't give you any numbers but they each have a 39K resistor between pins 1 & 2 and 4 & 5 there is no pin 3.

I have another transformer with a 68K resistor between pins 4 & 5 only and has a pin 3.

Hopefully this will help you out with your resistor mystery.
