I don't recall, I'll have to go back and read Mac's e-mails. He might have lost or misplaced it along with rear panel.

But didn’t Mac state In one of his emails that he had the original tag and didn’t send it to Mish for concern he might copy it? If so then it existed.

A couple of other minor details were wrong, the spacing between 115/230 VAC was off and the stamped "1" was too large. Only one Fowler R-390A has been discovered with the nomenclature tag intact, the rest came from the St. Juliens Creek pile and the tags were gone.

On that one all modules also matched. It was on eBay many years ago but I'm not sure if it sold or how much it did sell for. I wrote a series of articles for ER magazine in 1995 if my memory is correct. The original owner lived in California. I do not have any knowledge if he still has it or not. No. 3 belongs to a well known collector. And number 1 is now on eBay. I have no interest or opinion about No. 1 other than a few replacement parts in the modules, tubes, capacitors, resistors, etc. The original A M Instruments meters were gone as were the other Fowler's other than No. 2 The one on eBay is Fowler No. 1, you can take that to the bank.

> Folks,I do believe that there is some fakery going on with "the rarest of rare" Fowler R390A. Take a look at the data plate.Contract number indicates a 1964 contract, whilst the internet search of Fowler R390A seems to show a data plate on a "real radio" of 1984. So, the fakir made up a new data plate and didn't do his faking research very well. Robert, W4RRD, who just over a week ago purchased my first R390, correct R390, for the second time. Traded it off a long time ago for a R390A that got sold when the bid D came along, then out of the blue am contacted by a fellow who responded to a note with a local radio club that I am looking for older radios. The 390 came home the next day...
> No, it isn't for sale, no big D possible, just rent "em.
> Ask the seller to verify his radio, I did, and for what I see, it is a fake, simply due to the wrong contract number. The data plate is same contract number as shown on the Fowler info, but, the 84 on a real radio is on this FAKE a 64...
