[R-390] Receiver flavors. FYI: R-725 the real story.

Thank you for the two attachments.
That's cool, I only knew of the 725 as I had some of the direction finding systems in my MOS and the system had funny receivers almost like those I had been taught to maintain.
Our lore was the antenna switching and mechanical filters did not did not workquietly together.
I was ASA, What the signal corp was doing for world wide communications had nointerest to me as long as the chow and paychecks were as advertised.
I had no idea there was a whole mess of 725's in the world.
Later in life as Avondale needed some R390's for a shipthey needed to know it was an error in part numbers.Avondale needed to order some 725 as the latest production of the HF receiver.
The requirement was for an HF receiver, R390 R390/A 725 all the same.The ink looked like R390/A and thinking stopped.
The rest of the world thought they were doing good things and had no cluesthere tax dollars were keeping me off welfare.
