[R-390] Apollo 11 50 years ago

I was 14, and flying by myself from Dallas to the Panama Canal Zone via Miami to visit my Brother  who was stationed there (Army)

>From 67-69.

I was on a big old Blue Braniff Airways Boeing 707 passing around Cuba when the pilot came on the pa system saying they had landed on the moon.

Later that night in Panama, we were huddled around a little b&w tv tuned to a afrts station.

 

Neat stuff.
