Russ, I have been writing the book on this for the last 25 years. Wei-Li with the Pearls of Wisdom has been keeping the small topics organized and indexed.The R390 net website has keep me in print. A bunch of Berry, Berry, and Berry were grinding my grammar long before Grammarly though they knew English.Some older mentors put down the first drafts. The Y2K bunch still has the best R390/A  manual. That started before my self improvement program felt a need to work on my writing skills. For the new amateur thinking hands in hobby an R390/A and a Y2K manual could anchor a child for life.There could be a new boat anchor use.  One does not do things like this alone.    You could  make some money  selling a book or reference manual. Urban legion. Real life stories from the Fellows here on the reflector over the life of the reflector do not support the complement. The R390 group is only one focus group. Other groups have prospered and their real life experience does not support books. Books today are like polaroid photos static and dated. A goal out of grad school at Central Michigan University in 86 was to go paperless in computer science. I was system testing the LPD17 Ship Board Wide Area Network when I retired on time on plan and moved on. The printer in the room across the hall was still dispensing a case of paper a day. The ship board design was for a paperless society of 900 male marines, sailors, and no beer in sight. I moved on to square D Schneider Electric in Seneca South Carolina. Any would be authors looking to self publish care to keep a journal and be part of a "Self publishing for Dummies" what works what fails who has the Pravda who are the thieves. The English department at Tri County Technical College and the graphic arts departments were flat up against it. Want to be writer put up your best 60 page project. Want to be graphic artist collaborate a small book project. Graduates for  the project management class team up the book boss, authors, illustrators, facility edit and over sight quality sign off stakeholders and get it done.  No one had a rubric to success. A real uphill sell to aspiring students looking to build portfolio and experience.  That research project failed. The market expectancy is under 5000 copies total sales for any given self published book. Aggravations exceeds the return on investment. No known sure process is I hand that will walk a good story through editing to a manuscript. Then the book needs a cover illustration. Then the author and the book need some advertising publicity. The faculty of this college is unable to demonstrate this essential workplace skill set and teach it to students wishing to enter professions where getting published is common. I still have more real ink in the cloud than any other facility member not some thing I was telling an English professor doing real tune up on my stand up acting skills and sourcing content on demand in the Google world. I lost a grade point when I fell off the pink pony and hit the floor in oxygen depravation. I was an uncontrolled spectacle.  I have been beating dead horses for a long time but I was not ready to see pink ponies mauled by Clemson tigers in the hall ways of higher education. I have a history book manuscript just a little wider in scope than electronics and my life span. It was the summer of 16. My mother reached a point where she could not  be left unattended. So I moved back to my childhood bedroom (yes in the basement, that is where the boys sleep and tended the furnace fire). My sisters and brothers helped mother and I through two more years here at home before Mother went to assisted living on a Friday the 13th in July 2018. I at age 70 just can not pick mom up and tidy her up and I could not keep her bound down to prevent falls. I was grounded for two years with mom and not about to run away from home chasing a book dream. I parked that manuscript and have compiled two more manuscripts while reading stories to mother.  My house mouse employment opportunity has closed and its back to the book. I purchased the blight home next door as my physical fitness program and am cleaning that property up. I was in Lansing Friday evening for a party caucus at the federal congressional district level. Saturday we caucus for state wide party officials. Mother finds out I am back in politics and I will hear about it every day as I tuck her into bed out at her new home. My mother age 90 under the adult supervision of some 20 year old. Figure the odds. The young staff are perplexed by the way the residents resist so effectively like two year olds. Mother can herd two or three litters of kittens at once. She never mastered the 33 all at once before the max count decreased due to natural causes. Young child you are defenseless against my mother. Do you see me seeking her scorn?  Mom is taking lessons from a lady who celebrated 100 years of life between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I am looking for an illustrator to do the book cover art in an 8K HD screen saver jpeg file. One project one book credits and the whole nine yards. I have been working for two years on this off topic alternate life production sub task. I am a Geek and Nerd and Old school. It was my assembly notes of why the parts exist and where they belong in the composite illustration.I have a back story on the story and why the illustration is what it is and why it belongs on the cover of my book. I will zip and sent the four files to any one that would like a chance. I will queue all responses and work one at a time. I will tell those on hold that they are on hold but the offer is open. As queries withdraw I will pick up the next offer and explore it. When some one tells me we are on the same page at the level I have in the zip file I will alert the other applicants. When it gets done it will be shown to everyone. I can not imagine completing this task with out some collaboration time on the telephone.Talking to real people about real work scares them.Talking to real people about paychecks and book credits scares them. I am not asking any one to speculate more than a couple hours on my offer. I am looking for the illustrator who can accept what we were told and bring the details into visual context. It is an old image that has been carved into stone more than once. If you find your self with a real feel for what I am seeking on the P. T. Roger,  i  used to hear you on the air.  Recent  on line comments , and your "extensive"  knoledge of this good old  stuff is really amazing!      You should consider writing a book on this information.   I think  some edit help would  be in order due to the amount of  info you  have.  Maybe  divided into  sections for  390- 390as  and others.      There are a lot of people passing  info,  but not  always as accurate as your knoledge.  You could  make some money  selling a book or reference manual.   Take this into consideration and get some professional advice on how to go about this.  73s Russ wb3fau- Erie, Pa.
