LarrySomethings going on at my end _ I think it is Hughes Net.  When i click on the links or do an independent Google search for either website I get a message " this site cannot be reached - server IP address not found"
Glad to hear it's on my end - I panicked about all that info being lost.
I will have to figure out what is going on.  I tried the search both on my desktop and my wife's laptop, both running Win 7 with Google as the default search engine - no joy.  The one thing common to both is the internet access.

Steve, I can get to the 390A FAQ page ok: https://www.r-390a.net/faq-refs.htm and to the pearls: http://www.r-390a.net/Pearls/
Boy, does 'Dodge Power Wagon' bring back a lot of memories. What a time, 1962.

DaveCongratulations on getting the R390A up and running!
Personally i would like to know how you found the bad bypass cap.  I have a "blue striper" R390A sitting in the closet that I have to eventually get to.
And, IIRC, you can use small amounts of talcum powder to lube the tuning slugs.  Check the R390A info page and Wei Lee's "Pearls" to verify that - I'm reaching way back in the gray cells here.
P.S.  I've always been tempted by the R392 - they are so funky they are absolutely cool!  But then I would have to buy an old military truck/command car/jeep (personally I like old Dodge Power Wagons) to put it in.  I have no problem going down that rabbit hole, but the wife..............;-).
