Barry,

I have owned at least one HP 410 but I’m not sure I still to after a disaster.

If you EVER get a chance to buy a GR 1806, DO IT. (I see none on eBay now) It has a number of features and refinements that make it a delight to operate. Among them are:

- a BIG meter scale (moving pointer, of course, no digits!)
- a simplified scale factor scheme - all scales are the same - no having to decide which scale to use (the lowest AC range has a separate scale.)
- very high input impedance (can operate open grid input, but that’s seldom needed.)
- built in AC probe (OMIGOD, the included ceramic tube costs well over a hundred dollars!)
- DC and AC zero knobs on the front panel

More later (If you know of an old wood cased 1800A for sale, let me know - I lost two in the disaster and had not overhauled either one.)
