I'm moving and would rather find new homes for some project radios than
take these to my next tar paper shack. I'm only posting this message to
the R-390 list for now to give list members first opportunity.
I have several R-390A receivers, ranging from blue striper quality to some
that have just been in dry storage for 20 years.
Also, for the less restoration inclined there are a couple of R-390s, a
couple of R-391s, and 2 or 3 R-389s. The R-390s, R-391s, R-389s are not
restoration projects - they are in good to excellent condition but haven't
been fired up in years so they may need repair or at least some TLC.
Low prices but here's the catch - absolutely no packing and shipping. You
must do local pickup in central Arkansas. I'm in West Little Rock, about
15 miles from the I-40/I-30 confluence so it's pretty easy to get here.
Open for business 24x7, including holidays and weekends.
R-390A - $200. As Fair Radio would say, used but repairable.
R-390 - $400
R-391 - $800
R-389 - $1,000
To complement your R-390(x) I have a couple of broadcast transmitters that
need new homes.
Gates BC-1T. Disassembled in order to move it from commercial radio
station KBTA. Cleaned but never reassembled. Unmodified. Includes 833
tubes. $250
Collins 20K. Partially disassembled. Original 3 phase iron was discarded
by previous owner. I have a selection of single phase iron to go with the
transmitter. includes 833 tubes. $250
And there is other stuff to look over while you are here. Plan on a hour
or two and even longer if you want one of the big transmitters. You need a
cargo van, pickup, or U-haul trailer for one of those. Deals are waiting
for you if you want multiple items.
Sorry for brevity. Email me direct at donreaves at gmail.com for more details
or questions. Thanks.
