[R-390] Off-topic: Hawaii?

I don't have my HF stations set up at the new QTH yet. My niece, on Maui,
just called her dad to let him know they all received messages on their
cell phones to go immediately to emergency shelters. It was not a drill.

Anyone with HF capability heard about this or have contacts that they could
check with to verify what's happening?
