Yeah, Glen, that's what I'm doing. Using the SA function on my Moto
2005HD which is locked to the 10MHz Nortel GPSDO to look at the pilot.
Then I go into high resolution RX mode, so it's good to 1Hz. I haven't
talked to the stations I've monitored but the few I did check, mostly
NPR stations, were all spot on a frequency ±25KHz or so. But yeah, you
can't count on them being exactly on but they seem to be a good
indication. I wish there were some UHF freq standard beacons around. I
have a beacon on 2M that's in central VA that I can RX and that one is
always good by my reckoning, it's supposedly locked to a GPSDO also. The
6M beacon at Goddard I can sometimes rx, but it seems to wander around.
