[R-390] R 390a several chassis

This may be too simplistic, but:
Check the outer terminals on the volume pots - it sounds like somebody reversed them.  If it looks like the solder joints have been redone then just reverse the two wires and the controls will function normally.

Hey folks back into repairs with the R 390a receivers in fact all of those series of radios.
I have 2 restoration I am working on and found that the local audio level output  only works when turning the Line level output up and down, while adjusting the audio level control it adjust the line level meter up and down the 2 controls work in 
reverse has any of you guys seen this???
Yes I am using the local audio output on the back and line level has the jumper installed which is normal. 
I don’t remember doing this mod in the Military for any of the radio.
Something has been switched in reverse . 
I will into the manual and all of my mods that were done at the Depot Center.
