Hi Jacques,  I'm not knowledgeable on converters other than the Capt. Lee internal version, so don't know.  I do know from what I've read that there are lots of very good ones out there in use by folks on our list.  I don't know if any of them provide the correct bias  to the R-390A limiter or not.  I would think that it would not be that difficult to do.  If someone was to try it, it would need to be able to set a minimum bias so as to avoid swishing on no signal (between words).
