Thanks; great set of pictures. The epitomize why I called this year's
Berryville a great fest. Any fest this many R390s. I am sorry I dig not
have room to carry home the R-1051 reveiver/exciter/amp stack. I was
terminally stupid not to ask him for contact information.

I don't think these were Howard's radios, Lester. I saw Howard's R-390 in a
correct cabinet for $1300 on his table. The two I referenced were in the
back of a black car on the opposite end of the grounds. One was in what
looked like a SP-600 cabinet painted black and the other was in one of the
(I think) new Premier cabinets cranked out in the late 90s. You can see
them in Nick's photos here, about 2/3rds of the way down the page:

Howard's radios are pictured above it. The seller had dropped the price
from $1400 to $1200 by then, probably due to Howard's set being $1300 (and
a far better deal than the either of other two IMO). You can also see some
of the others there including the Amelco my buddy ended up buying for $160.
It's the one with the radioactive meter sticker on front.

Definitely a lot of good deals there, and perfect wx to boot. I sold my
spare T-368 RF deck sans exciter and large vacuum variable along with a
project pair of 75A-2s for $175 and was happy not to take them back home.
