It would be interesting to know what the basis is for the claim that it
was never deployed. Is it a documented civilian sale radio? Otherwise,
I think it would be very difficult to determine authoritatively that it
was never deployed. Also, the blurb says it was "thoroughly gone over"
by a rebuilder who is known to sell 390As that have been "remanufactured
to like new." If that is what it is -- a "remanufactured to like new"
refurb -- it seems to me that advertising it as "in out-of-the-box new
condition" is fraud. I don't care if a radio was refurbished by the
ghost of Art Collins himself, a refurbished radio by definition cannot
be in "out-of-the-box new condition."

On the other hand, it might really be brand new, still sealed in its
original carton, and was just "gone over" to make sure that nothing had
failed during a half-century of storage.

I'd want to know lots more before even thinking of buying it.

Best regards,

Charles
