Could well be. I know that back in the 80's I was working for a company that was contracted by the DOE to build Gas Blocking Connectors to keep radioactive gas from escaping up the cable bundles that ran down hole in their underground nuclear tests. I used a 2 part potting compound in the body of the connectors that was approved for sealing applications at reactor sites. That stuff had a sulfurous small.  We referred to it as Nukiepookie.
The connectors were basically high dollar butt splices FWIW...........
