[R-390] R392 Problem

Hi, Don,
A real kerchunker indeed -- the R-1051 detents are a knucklebuster! Some years ago, I tried lessening the tension on one and learned the hard way that the detent springs are brittle and will snap in two. Someone on the list (I think it was Roy Acuff) came to the rescue with a replacement, a kind gesture I appreciate to this day.

Wes, there should be a detent on each of the three bandwidth positions of
the R-392. Now there are detents and then there are kerchunk detents. For
a real kerchunker, try changing the frequency on an R-1051 receiver.
The detents on the R-392 bandwidth selection are soft but certainly
satisfying enough that you know you have "clicked in".
