Nick,

I appreciate your astute analysis of the economies of refunds from Google. Too bad, because I can use some more resistors. -:)

There was a thread on another list, possibly Greenkeys, about this. Someone discovered the “fine print” deep in the Google web site that tells users that they can do this.

I’m pretty sure it was Greenkeys I noticed this on. At that time, I looked for the subscriber options choice about that but could not find it. (It may well not have been a QTH list.)

Well, if it does not come to you via the list, here are parts of it… and I”ll be glad to forward the whole thing to you separately!

I wonder what system you use to create/manage your web site. I’m getting ready to (re-) launch a web site to sell off excess stuff from the decades of (modest) collecting I’ve done. I’ve heard great things about the QTH.NET operation from one happy web site owner, and had a couple nice emails from the guy who runs it.

I’ve been reading a book on WordPress. I’ve not gotten past the section of the book that’s all about creating and managing a blog (I do not want a blog, at least not yet) and into the sections on creating a normal web site. Apparently there are “plug-ins” that set up a store front using WordPress. The folks at QTH.NET offer the WordPress system for its customers, and have lots of experience helping customers of their web services make it run.

The simplest web hosting option at QTH.NET costs $5 a month, and seems to offer way more than I’d need for what I want to do. Seems like a fine option among the bazillion web hosting sites out there.

Thanks much,

Roy
