List,>I came across a vendor in China (where else) that is selling USED Vishay .01 % resistors of many different values: some common as 1K000 to 100K000 and others that are strange. Single, with shipping they are $8 to $10. If bought in lots of 10 the price drops quite a bit.
I would be willing to buy an assortment of values and sell them to the list members…
Wrote: Be very careful about sourcing parts from China. There is a huge problem with counterfeit electronic parts coming from Asia, and it is often nearly impossible to tell fakes from the genuine article. Many buyers have found by sad experience that the vendors lie if asked directly about the provenance of their parts. Several dollars each is way more than counterfeits would be worth.
I agree; if that were the case, but it’s not.
That’s good cautionary advice. Even with some supposedly *Rehabbed* and *Upgraded* HP GPS receivers buyers have found that they had mysterious problems that would come and go. And the vendor Yunix (or something like that) still has a 100% rating. Go figure.
However in this case, besides the vendors 100% guarantee, I just purchased a calibrated 6.5 digit DVM and have several .01% Vishay NOS resistors from the USA to use for cross-checking my DVM and checking all the parts for accuracy.
But this all becomes a moot point as I had an overwhelming response of one. So I’ll just search out for what I want. If I do buy some used resistors from this vendor I’ll inform the list of the results.

Perrier
