[R-390] Panel Painting Advice

Back around 1964, I restored a stenciled R-390 panel while living in 
Germany.  I had a German shop engrave the panel. He matched the font 
very closely and when finished, I doubt that anyone could tell the 
difference. And he charged me less than 50 dm (4:1) at that time.

If I had one to do today, I would do it the same way (assuming I could 
find a competent engraver).
