As many listees know, so-called "ugly" construction can be a high art 
form.  Frank, you have caught the spirit of the thing so perfectly I 
am awed.  Congratulations, sir, for the moment you are the undisputed 
King of Ugly!!

(For those who may be suspicious, the above is absolutely not 
sarcasm.  It is genuine admiration for excellence -- nay, genius -- 
in putting together something that works, and works well, from what 
is readily to hand.)
