[R-390] 399A RF deck service cables

Chris,
 
ALL the decks in the R390 and R390A
can be operated out of the receiver by
tipping the receiver up on one end or another and swinging the deck in question
out on the bench.
Repair persons have been have been getting it done this way since the beginning.

Thanks for the replies, I didn't think there was enough cable length to maneuver 
the RF deck this way.  


Now.. What about the IF deck?  There IS enough cable to tip the deck upwards and 
poke around, but it seems to stress the pins on that connector.  Any brilliant 
Macgyvering on that one, or should I be looking for an extension cable here?

Hi

If you really want too go crazy, tip the chassis and rotate the RF deck. You can 
get it into just about any position you would need that way.
