[R-390] What is on the 390 chassis anyway

This is the extreme far end of what you "could" do;

If you felt compelled to be obsessive about getting the color just right
you could take all of the aluminum, strip it down polish and clean it up
and get gold anodizing done.

Anodizing creates a surface finish that is like a miniature forest of
aluminum oxide;
(see;     http://www.anodizing.org/Reference/reference_guide.html)

This leaves behind a mostly non-conductive surface that can then be dyed to
whatever color you want. Then finished off with a sealer.

There are home anodizing kits and the process is similar to electroplating.
(see;    http://www.caswellplating.com/deluxe-anodizing-kit.html)

It is expensive to get started doing anodizing, takes work to get good at
it and unless you are in that business you will never recoup your money.
